Nifty Business is an independent media company founded in November 2021 by Tahj Shand on the beautiful island of Jamaica. The company focuses on exploring crypto, blockchain technology, and their impact on businesses.
Tahj started Nifty Business out of frustration with the overwhelming amount of speculative NFT (non-fungible token) hype being passed off as educational content. Determined to offer something better, he created his own platform. The name "Nifty Business" cleverly combines the letters N.F.T. while paying tribute to The Nifty Show and showcasing Tahj’s focus on business rather than speculation.
After sharing his thoughts on X (formerly Twitter), Tahj launched the Nifty Business podcast. Amazingly, he recorded 365 episodes in the first year alone! Fueled by his passion, Nifty Business quickly grew to include Twitter Spaces, livestreams, newsletters, and even in-person events like workshops and crypto meetups.
I believe #NFTs will be the gateway to the #blockchain and #crypto for BILLIONS of people. Call me slow, but I saw crypto as a speculative playground until the utility of smart contracts.

Digitally Known as 'Tropic Vibes'
Tropic Vibes started as a Caribbean clothing brand Tahj created during college. When the NFT bull market took off, many enthusiasts adopted digital personas and pseudonyms. Rather than starting from scratch, Tahj revived the Tropic Vibes brand, which had also been his Xbox Live gamer tag.
Although many have moved on from their crypto pseudonyms, Tahj remains widely recognized as “Tropic Vibes” or simply “Tropic” among the crypto community. . . and former Xbox 360 players.
